TaraLynn A. Casperson is an associate in Nutter’s Trusts and Estates Department. Clients rely on TaraLynn’s counsel in a variety of areas, including straightforward estate planning for young families to more sophisticated plans focusing on minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes. Fiduciaries, personal representatives, and family members frequently engage TaraLynn in all aspects of probate, estate and trust administration, and TaraLynn works with private charitable foundations on grantmaking, tax compliance, and general administration matters.

TaraLynn stays up to date as a member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. She nurtures her love of the arts as a member of the Museum Council at the Museum of Fine Arts, sharing her interest with other diverse young professionals in Greater Boston. TaraLynn also serves on the board of MEDIAGIRLS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young girls to harness the power of social media and speak up on a broad range of issues.

In addition to her summer associate work at Nutter, her professional experience includes serving as an intern at Greater Hartford Legal Aid and at an intellectual property law firm in Connecticut. During law school, TaraLynn served as the vice president of finance for the Student Legal Forum, the 2013-2014 Issues & Concerns chair of the Black Law Students Association, and on the editorial board of the Virginia Tax Review.

Prior to law school, TaraLynn worked as a lead paralegal on international commercial litigation matters at a law firm in Washington, D.C.
