Stephen G. Howard was a partner in the Litigation Department. A trial lawyer with over twenty-five years of trial experience in the state and federal courts, Stephen focused his practice on origination, trial and settlement of high value, contested matters. He had extensive experience with contested matters involving wills, trusts, estates and pre-mortem and post-mortem planning for high net worth individuals and corporate and individual fiduciaries. His practice regularly included representation of institutional clients, fiduciaries and individuals in probate and business litigation matters including will contests, lack of testamentary capacity claims, undue influence claims, contested guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and fiduciary investment and accounting proceedings.
Stephen’s practice was dedicated to the careful assessment and effective resolution of contested probate and business litigation claims. He had served as a Guardian, Guardian ad Litem and Discovery Master in cases requiring investigation of complex legal issues and the trial of claims involving defense and prosecution of financial and fiduciary misconduct. Stephen also had significant experience in complex divorce litigation in addition to drafting and litigation regarding prenuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. Stephen had completed numerous jury and non jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Nutter, Stephen was a partner at a large international law firm.
Stephen was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.
