Padma Choudry is an associate in the Intellectual Property Department. She handles all aspects of patent and trademark law, including preparation and prosecution, litigation, patentability and infringement opinions, due diligence and clearance studies.
Prior to joining Nutter, Padma’s representative experience included obtaining a multimillion dollar license in favor of a public software company in a patent infringement suit, litigating a high-profile trademark infringement suit, successfully opposing a summary judgment motion for invalidity based on failure to disclose best mode and successfully opposing a trademark application filed with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Padma is a member of the Boston Patent Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston.
While in law school, Padma served as note editor for the Journal of Science & Technology Law and worked as a research assistant in Antitrust, IP and High Technology. Additionally, Padma was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, the South Asian American Law Students Association and Shelter Legal Services. and worked in MIT’s Office of Sponsored Programs.
