Matthew P. Ritchie is an associate in the Litigation Department and focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, including commercial disputes and business torts, antitrust, government investigations, and product liability. Matt’s civil litigation experience includes matters in state and federal court involving contracts, corporate governance, drug and medical device manufacturing and marketing insurance, negligence and social host liability, securities, and shareholder litigation.
Matt is also a member of Nutter’s Data Management and Discovery group, focusing on electronic discovery. He has experience managing large-scale document collections, reviews and productions, and advising clients on litigation holds and document retention policies and procedures.
Matt gained previous legal experience as an intern for the United States Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Matt spent three years as a paralegal for the United States Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. In that role, he investigated mergers in the oil and gas, software, and consumer food products industries.
