Katy O. Meszaros is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the Products Liability Litigation practice group. Katy currently represents a major manufacturer of prosthetic knee and hip implants against medical device product liability suits, as well as a variety of clients involved in general commercial disputes.
Katy is actively involved in the Firm’s pro bono efforts and has represented a number of clients in housing, unemployment, immigration, and asylum matters. She is a former co-chair of the Citizen Schools Mock Trial Program and currently serves as a writing coach for the Citizen Schools Eighth Grade Academy program. Katy gained prior legal experience serving as a legal intern in both the Organized Crime and Appellate Bureaus of the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
During law school, Katy served as editor-in-chief of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy and was a staff member of the Moot Court Honor Board. Katy was named a Distinguished Oral Advocate and was a recipient of the Academic Trustee Scholarship.
