Cynthia M. Guizzetti is a partner in the Litigation Department. Cynthia’s practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, with a focus on contract disputes, business torts, and intellectual property disputes. She has represented both large and small companies in trial courts, appellate courts, and arbitration proceedings. Cynthia has been recognized as a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Cynthia has also worked as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, where she tried multiple misdemeanor cases.
She has worked extensively on numerous pro bono matters throughout her career. Highlights include her representation of the Massachusetts protection and advocacy agency in litigation challenging the prolonged confinement of seriously mentally ill prisoners in isolation units in Massachusetts state prisons, which has since been successfully resolved, and her representation of a mother in a custody dispute and related international parental kidnapping charge, which was ultimately dismissed.
Cynthia is also a member of the board of directors of Prisoners’ Legal Services and is actively involved in a charitable organization that promotes animal welfare.
During law school, Cynthia was note editor for the Boston College Third World Law Journal and received the John F. Cremens Award for Outstanding Work in Clinical Programs.
